This is a project led by the Teaching and Training Workgroup of the Junior Doctor Forum (JDF). The aim of the working group is to improve teaching and training across Leeds Children’s Hospital.
The discussions from the open forum suggested that trainees felt there was limited protected teaching/training time, it could be difficult to know what to expect/achieve during a speciality placement and how to get the most out of the learning opportunities the placement had. Therefore, in collaboration with the consultants from each department Learning Plans (LP) were proposed as a starting point to improve this. These Learning Plans are planned to serve as basis for Personalised Work Schedules in combination with the Generic Work Schedule you received from HR department
Learning plans from 12 clinical areas have been created. Learning plans were created in Word document format to serve as a basis on which trainee can build their personalised work schedules, PDPs and customise it to their needs.
Here you can find learning plans according to LCH clinical area and training grade.
Plans are uploaded in Word format as they are intended to be customisable to individual trainee's needs.
