This is a one-day RCS Edinburgh accredited course in non-technical skills for surgeons (NOTSS), which is being specifically provided for consultants across all surgical specialities within Yorkshire. Invaluable for all surgical trainers and those with an interest in non-technical skills. The course explores the framework, theory and research underpinning NOTSS and adverse events in surgery. At the end of the course delegates with be able to use the NOTSS taxonomy to observe, rate and provide feedback on behaviors in the operating room as well as understanding how NOTSS affects performance.

This course is for Consultant surgeons. Priority will be given to consultants from Yorkshire. If you are outside Yorkshire and wish to apply please contact the administrator on the email below.
This course will combine presentations a video simulated scenarios, audience response voting system and group discussions.
