“ Duties of a Doctor” is a six part programme , exploring the practical application of GMC guidance and other medical ethical scenarios. All the sessions are interactive and based on real case studies. A broad range of subjects will be covered providing a broader understanding of GMC guidance and its application in clinical settings. The programme will be delivered jointly by Ian Wilson the GMC’s Regional Liaison Advisor for Yorkshire and Humber and Dr Hamish Mclure, a Consultant Anaesthetist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals.

Duty of Confidentiality
End of Life care
Raising and Acting on Concerns
Acting as a witness in legal proceedings
Leadership and management
Fitness to Practice and complaints
This is the timetable. All sessions commence at 8.30am and finish around noon.
