The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) have a wealth of quality improvement training materials. Trainees are also able to access e-learning materials in quality improvement and patient safety for free which provides you with an IHI basic certificate in quality and safety.
The Royal College of Physicians has produced a Learning to Make A Difference toolkit which gives a guide as to how to trainees may complete a quality improvement project. This is best supplemented with the resources above
