Approved by Royal College of Surgeons this three day, intensive course covers the core laparoscopic surgery skills and knowledge essential for every surgical discipline.
Working with a range of high-quality laparoscopic equipment and specifically designed bench top models, you will learn a variety of knotting and suturing techniques, as well as having the opportunity to practice a number of key laparoscopic procedures.
Laparoscopic skills are an essential part of all surgical disciplines and this course will give you the basic grounding, theory and practical skills you need for commencing and developing a safe laparoscopic practice. You will cover a wide variety of topics during this course, including:
- Dissection and clipping
- Suturing and knotting
- Diagnostic laparoscopy
- Laparoscopic appendectomy
- Repair of a perforated ulcer
- Laparoscopic cholecystectomy
- Continuous suturing
This course is suitable for CT1-2, ST3-4 and SAS grades.
Core Skills in Laparoscopic Surgery is an intensive practical skills course which combines demonstrations from experienced faculty with plenty of opportunity to practice the use of high-quality laparoscopic equipment on bench-top models specifically designed for the course.
You will also receive individual feedback and formative assessment throughout the two days.
18 CPD points will be awarded to successful participants who have completed the course.

- If you have notified us at least 30 days prior to the commencement date of the course, your course fees will be returned minus a £50.00 administration fee. If you have received any course materials these must be returned prior to any refund.
