Working Lunch

Medical Education Leeds has launched a new monthly managers’ forum aimed at information sharing and networking.

FINAL IconWorking Lunch is a new programme of events bringing managers together in an informal setting to discuss a variety of topics. The sessions will alternate between being
held at St James’s University Hospital and Leeds General Infirmary.

The Nursing Associate role is a relatively new support role that sits alongside existing healthcare support workers and fully-qualified registered nurses to deliver hands-on care for patients.

This session will examine

  • How Nursing Associates came about.
  • The Nursing Associates course
  • NMC regulation and other legislation.
  • The role of Nursing Associates.
  • Future career progression.
  • The apprenticeship model.
