History Packs

In this section you can download mock patient history packs for practice purposes. The files can be downloaded in .zip format in their respective groups or individually by clicking on the name of the pack.

Please see below some suggestions when using these scenarios:

  • The first line of the scenario usually sets the scene for the doctor
  • Use the information provided to answer questions as asked. Do not provide additional information beyond what you are asked. But do be co-operative rather than obstructive.
  • If the answer is not on the sheet then the answer is “No” or I don’t knowwhichever you think is most appropriate. You may also improvise as you see fit because if the answer is not on the sheet then it is probably immaterial – for instance if questions about your diet are not that important make up an answer but try and avoid being misleading.
  • You can practice with these packs in pairs, however they also work well in groups of 3 with the third person marking the history as it progresses, and giving feedback at the end. The “Doctor” can present their differential diagnosis to the “examiner” when they have finished.

The following packages will download as .zip files which may be inaccessible on most mobile devices. To download PDF versions click on the packages and download the individual files.
