E-Learning

As part of the ongoing project to protect trust patients against infection it is now mandatory for all undergraduate students to complete and pass the same infection control e-learning courses as all trust staff.

These e-courses need to be completed annually for valid access to wards. How to log on Click here to visit the e-learning website All Medical Students should have received their username and password by September 2009 at the latest. When you first log on you will be asked to change your password to one of your choice.  Please keep this safe for any future e-learning courses you may be required to do whilst working within the Trust

Click on My Courses and you will be presented with:

• Infection Control - Clostridium Difficile Infection
• Infection Control - Hand Hygiene
• Infection Control - MRSA

At the end of each module ensure you click the blue exit button to move on to the next section, this registers the module as completed on the system.  If you close your browser it will not register.

Your progress on the e-learning management system is all logged electronically.  You must complete all sections for it to register as completed.  The time taken to complete the course is recorded which will flag up if you have just clicked through the pages without taking time to read.
