Clinical Practice Centre

The Clinical Practice Centre (CPC) is a multi-professional education centre providing clinical skills education and training to Health Care Providers throughout Leeds. The centre offers the opportunity to work with education staff to design, develop and deliver education and training encompassing cognitive, technical and non-technical skills

The centre is equipped with a range of teaching and learning facilities enabling the delivery of a broad spectrum of educational experiences, ranging from part task skills teaching for venepuncture and catheterisation through to team working and communication skills in the simulated clinical environments utilising high fidelity mannequins.

Working in partnership with the Leeds Institute for Skills Training and Assessment (LISTA) further Technology enhanced learning opportunities include a simulated operating theatre, wet lab, laparoscopic and endoscopic bench top and virtual reality trainers and recording and playback facilities for both learning and assessment.
