Course aims:
To refresh and update skills in managing the difficult airway
To provide practical hands on experience in techniques outlined in the DAS guidelines
Programme to include
NAP4 Yorkshire, one year on
Dedicated session to Awake Fibreoptic Intubation
Four hours of hands on workshops:
- Nasal fibreoptic intubation
- Paediatric airway
- Cricothyroidotomy/jet ventilation
- Bronchoscopy
- Video/indirect scopes
- Simulator session
- Oral fibreoptic intubation
- (inc. ILMA & Aintree/LMA)
- Case based discussions
