The Ophthalmology section provides a range of clinical guidelines and standard operating procedures that you will be expected to follow.

Where To Find Us

St James' University Hospital

  • Eye outpatients, including optometry and the orthoptic department, are on the ground floor, Chancellor Wing.
  • St James’s Laser vision (refractive surgery and intra-vitreal injections unit) - ground floor Chancellor Wing. ·
  • Theatres - the Day Case unit and adjacent theatres (1 and 2) are at the other end of Chancellor Wing on the first floor. Theatres 3 and 4 are on the second floor of Chancellor Wing.
  • Preoperative assessment and some postoperative reviews happen on the first floor Chancellor wing, next to the day case unit.
