You will need a firm knowledge and understanding of this procedure based upon your employers protocols, guidelines and patient group directives and recognise their application in light of the learning outcomes identified below.
Learning Outcomes
Performance of recording ECG at rest and ambulatory ECG procedures.
It includes connection and disconnection of electrodes and acquisition of data ready for analysis.
The procedures may be performed in a number of care settings such as outpatient departments, ward areas and GP practices

HWB6: Assessment and treatment planning, CHS 130; Perform routine Electrocardiograph (ECG) procedures
Performance Outcome -
Demonstrates safe and competent performance, encompassing the knowledge skills and behaviours as defined by local performance criteria.
