Core Skills in Laparoscopic Surgery

Synopsis

A three-day course, developed in conjunction with the Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland, to provide surgeons with the essential theoretical knowledge and practical experience of basic level laparoscopic surgery.

This course will expand on the College’s Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy course and provides a much broader introduction to laparoscopic surgery and the key procedures.

The course is aimed at surgical trainees in the early years of specialist training in General Surgery and is run both at The Royal College of Surgeons of England and in a number of regional centres in England and Wales. The course is designed for 12 participants with a Convener and three faculty to ensure plenty of opportunity for advice and support during the practical sessions.
